Autumn Construction Services will serve as the Prime Contractor for this Cook County Health Job Order Contract, providing a comprehensive mechanical and controls upgrade to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and overall building performance.
The project will include the replacement of an existing gas-fired boiler with two high-efficiency boilers piped in tandem, complete with BACnet-enabled controls, BMS integration, modified roof exhaust and intake systems, and condensate neutralization. Hot water pumps will be replaced with energy-efficient VFD-driven units, providing enhanced system control and monitoring.
The mechanical room hydronic piping will be reconfigured with new piping and supporting systems to improve space utilization and long-term performance.
Inspiring Technologies Corp will provide BAS temperature controls, upgrading 25 VAV zones with new DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and BACnet communications. A Tridium Niagara N4 JACE-8000 Supervisor shall be connected to the local IP network to provide centralized monitoring, trending, and alarming.

As part of the Cook County Job Order Contract, Autumn Construction Services is awarded the mechanical upgrade of an aging boiler system to improve energy efficiency, reliability, and system performance. The project replaces an existing gas-fired boiler with two high-efficiency Weil-McLain condensing gas-fired boilers, installed in a tandem configuration to provide redundancy and optimized load management.
The scope includes the reuse of the existing roof vent stack, upgraded hydronic piping, and pumps. The new boilers will be fully integrated with the building management system for advanced monitoring and control. Piping is being strategically rerouted to improve the mechanical room layout and free up usable floor space.
Autumn Construction Services will serve as the prime contractor with Inspiring Technologies Corporation providing specialized temperature controls support. This project showcases our team’s ability to deliver high-performance mechanical solutions efficiently and seamlessly within Cook County’s Job Order Contracting program.
