June 2026 Boiler Demolition Work Begins

Autumn Construction Services has been selected as a mechanical piping subcontractor to support the mechanical upgrades at Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Robert L. Grimes Elementary School.

Autumn’s scope of work will include the selective demolition of existing mechanical piping and the furnishing and installation of new hot water, gas, refrigerant, and condensate drain piping associated with the mechanical system upgrades. The work will also include the installation of boilers, pumps, a glycol fill system, an air separator, an expansion tank, and other hydronic equipment as required by the project documents. 

 Autumn will coordinate closely with the prime mechanical contractor, Chicago Public Schools, and the project team to perform the piping scope in accordance with the project schedule and phasing requirements while the school remains occupied and operational.

This project will demonstrate Autumn Construction Services’ experience performing mechanical piping work within active educational facilities and its ability to coordinate effectively as a subcontractor on complex MEP renovation projects.
